The Super Eagles of Nigeria put in their best performance on Sunday evening after an easy 4-2 win against Lesotho.
The home team open the scoring in the 11th minute through Masoabi Nkoto after a poor defending by the Nigerian defence. Few minutes later, the Super Eagles scored two goals in twelve minute through Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze to put them on the brink of claiming another three point.
After the restart of the second half, the away team were too strong for their opponent as they scored in the 75th and 85th minute through Lille's striker Victor Osimhen to make it 1-4 at the Setsoto Stadium in Maseru. The home team responded in the 90th minute through Chidozie Awaziew's clumsy mistake to make it 2-4 in the closing stage of the match, although the Super Eagles went on to claim all three point in Group L.
Furthermore, Nigeria sit top of group L after two win in two matches and another six point against Sierra Leone will grant them safe passage into the knockout stage of the Africa Cup Of Nations(AFCON) qualifiers match.
